Why consider psychological resources? Chronic pain often goes hand in hand with anxiety and depression. It is still unclear if CP is a cause of, or a result of anxiety or depression. It can be both and depends on the person and situation. The good news is: the tools that help chronic pain also help depression and anxiety, and stress in general. And vice versa. So please consider finding support for emotional and psychological difficulties.
There is a huge overlap with the mind-body section. My own approach includes body-centered, strength-based, mindfulness and physiologically based therapies (see brain-research for more). Articles and links will follow in the spring of 2014.
